The statement piece of any home! The areca palm, also known as the butterfly palm, has beautiful arching leaves and is bound to catch the eye in any setting. It also has good air puryfying qualities, making it suitable for both the home and the office.
 
This plant can tolerate the shade but prefers bright indirect light and should be watered weekly during the growing season, with the soil allowed to dry a few inches deep before re-watering in the winter season. 
 
This plant is also pet friendly as it's non-toxic.
